I think they realize that a generational shift is taking place where not everybody is going to be willing or able to transport their families to a theme park, but the the developed world has a myriad of devices through which content can be delivered.
Smart move, I’ve got 4 kids and my 2 and 4 year old watch shows on Disney plus everyday and then want all the toys that go along with them. They for sure make money off of my family!
