This is the GOP playbook. Break the laws, lie that they are "just doing what the Democrats are doing" (not true, ballot harvesting != fake drop boxes, very different things), then cry "victim" or "election interference" if they are challenged or if the boxes are removed. It's all a ploy to try to disrupt the results of CA which they knew they can't win fairly.

It makes me sick that I ever associated with this party or believed they actually stood for the things they claimed (lied) they did.

inb4 "How could you not see it"? I'm talking about my views when I was in high school and my first year or so in college. Parental indoctrination is a hell of a drug, so is cognitive dissonance.

Perhaps a more accurate take on this would be "California Republican Party Admits Treasonous Attempt to Undermine the Constitution".

Misleading headline, here.

Well, that was my knee jerk reaction as well, but they weren't putting it in black neighborhoods to collect democratic votes and burn them (as I would do it if I wanted to undermine elections), but they put them next to gun ranges to make it easier for their voters to vote. Still, staggering incompetence.
Creating ballot boxes that convince people they're officially administered by government is called Talent, not incompetence.
A more accurate title would be “California GOP admits to placing ballot boxes that others consider misleading.”

The GOP officials did not at all concede to any point of misleading-ness regarding the boxes’ locations.
