It's like a real-life version of The Last Ship.
I was in the Navy in the 70's serving aboard a now de commissioned nuclear cruiser. During the fuel crisis we were kept at sea for crazy stretches. I found that after 10 days or so I could have stayed out forever. The first 1 to 2 weeks were misery but after that time didn't actually exist as days or weeks, just watch rotation and preventative maintenance work schedule.
