To keep it short Portabella is different from other project management software in two key ways:
- your core data is end-to-end encrypted [1]
- we don't contain any third party trackers [2]
Portabella came about after working at a privacy focused company for a few years. I realised that there _is_ a market for privacy centered products, they're just hard to find or not usable. We're looking to provide an experience on par with current project management solutions in a privacy preserving way.
The bigger overarching goal of Portabella would be to enable consumers/businesses to demand more of their tools. Recently we've seen privacy preserving tools/apps explode in popularity which we're really happy about, and hope to contribute to this wave of change.
1. The idea behind the product is excellent. Since you are already pitching to the privacy-minded crowd, consider adding a fully offline mode with an optional sync to your server storage?
2. This is an UX-centric product, so it could really use a fully-functional signup-free demo, not just a read-only version of it. Being able to play with everything without the friction of needing to sign-up is a huge plus.
3. There are smaller UI issues that somewhat spoil the first impression - https://i.imgur.com/cC4M6Oy.gif - this is Firefox on Windows.
