One thing that is upsetting to me is why aren't the doctors who received these kickbacks getting fines and or jail time? They knowingly took illegal bribes to give drugs to patients.
Purdue's scheme would probably never have achieved its scale, profitability, and devastatingly harmful impact without the cooperation of physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, insurance companies, the FDA and the DEA.
