I can tell that the machine learning community has evolved a visual aesthetic, e.g. GAN interpolations have created images I could not have imagined before.
Still, it's harder to see ML's impact on text generation and music. Does anyone have good examples of those or guides to understand this better?
There is a big gap before 2012. For examples, projects featured at Cybernetic Serendipity Music 1968 [1], and Harold Cohen's AARON [2]. Having that said, I'm not strictly sure if it belongs to machine learning.

This project started as an endeavour to get an overview of what creators were doing at the intersection of creativity and machine learning.
I thought I was up to date with the latest, but my reference list kept growing and I realised I was unaware of many projects by the community.
Once I reached a few hundred, I thought it could be useful for others, so I turned my spreadsheet into a visual database with Spreadsimple.
Something missing? Just comment with a link to the project or portfolio below, and I'll review it.
More projects coming every week!!
