If you're surprised by the headline, the first two words of the article should clear things up:

Moreover the individual who sent the fraudulent notices failed to appear before the court and is almost certainly judgement-proof due to his jurisdiction.

I am just mind-blown that it is so easy for a single individual sitting halfway across the world to shutdown a real company's online presence (on social media) and cause a loss in profit. The company is definitely not going to get the awarded damages and just lost out on attorney fees also. Scary stuff!
