I don't think any American feels this way at all. Many many many Americans feel that almost all their politicians are corrupt. The most popular political documentaries every year allege massive corruption on the part of representatives, senators, the president. See all of Michael Moore's films for example. When Obama was in office D'Souza had a film alleging similar widescale corruption and degradation of the office.
This is also why 1/3 of the eligible voting population actually votes. Am I wrong in this perception? My whole life I've believed that most people in the US despise politicians and the President himself very openly
