The article mentions that Neanderthals had significantly bigger eyes along with a correspondingly bigger visual cortex [0] which I thought was interesting. I’m really curious to know what kinds of traits the Denisovans had (once enough remains are found.)
Judging from the evidence of history, it seems a lot more likely that Homo sap. "went to war" against H. nean., who likely had no idea why, and no practical defense, and were wiped out along with the Denisovans and any other relations.
