Thesis - An election is like a human life: unique, happens once, definitively ends, and there is a meaning in which it ends “correctly”.

We expect society to rule out, or identify, foul play in every death that happens. A murder is a wrong death.

We should make a strong effort to rule out or identify foul play in every election that happens, just as a matter of course. Election fraud is a sort of “wrong death” too. So don’t freak out about any investigation when it happens...

It’s like an IT system that only gets used every four years. You really care about those trouble tickets that show up every four years when it’s actually used.
