In case anyone doesn't realize, the author of this erronously assumed that all mail-in ballots are mixed in the mail and processed.

Instead (in most states), they are actually sent to the district counting centers and counted with other votes from that district.

That's why you see higher Democratic votes from ones from later countered ones: they are counted along with the larger districts, which are in cities, and have more Democratic voters.
