Ouch.

That said: I checked, and the size is mostly the sound files (which are 312 MB total). I don't mind storing a decent set of high quality ambient sound files.
Fair enough. Noise is hard to compress :)

PS. It is called an ambient noise _generator_ though.

Any chance of a version that doesn't require administrative privileges to install?
I give it away completely free during the launch period to get meaningful feedback from early adopters.
Here's some: only having three different volume settings is bad. The train sample seems repetitive/has obvious cuts. The noise samples are super long and therefore also large in size and can probably be cut down.
Any chance for macOS version?
I can't speak for those who got it for free with your code, but if didn't have the code, I'd have been pretty upset to pay fifteen dollars for a desktop app only to find a tab in it letting me know that to access "premium features" I'd need to sign up (and presumably pay again/more) online.
On android I use Noice available from F-Droid (and maybe the playstore, no idea). Does a good job and it is Free and free.
+++ for Noice, I use it too and really like it. High quality sounds, and as parent commenter said, it's Free
