"once they've seen something that fits their conception of how the world works, that's sort of the end of it....the need to find evidence for them, or offer proof is much less."
I think that pretty much sums up that interview - what drivel.

"The they" "All the usual suspects" "arrogant vision" - many buzzwords not much critical thought.

I've not read his books and was but that was drivel - I was told he had strong frameworks for critical thoughts - none of that was revealed.

So you criticise him based on a 25 minute interview made by an interviewer with a liberal myopia?
That's plenty of time to get a point across?
Well this has been presented as an informative interview and it's not?

You may have missed in my comment my disappointment at it being so shallow.

That seemed to hit a nerve with you huh?
Thomas Sowell had some good stuff.
I like his standing up at the stadium metaphor for everyone getting a college degree. For years I have thought about it but never had a good metaphor to describe it.
Tom should run for president in 2024. The guy would mop the debate stage with all these talking point career politicians thrust in front of us every 4 years
While fond of Sowell myself, I wouldn't rush to put a 94 year old at the top of any ticket that hopes to be competitive.. To capture his age another way, some of his best works were favorably reviewed by FA Hayek (1899-1992).

Edited: to not suggest Hayek is still living.

Interesting this post has 47 upvotes but my needle moved from 767 to 789 which is 22, where did the rest go lol.
