Reading up on some past presidents, it was fun to learn that Gerald Ford was never on any national ballot. When Spiro Agnew resigned as the Vice President, Nixon selected House Minority Leader Gerald Ford to serve as the new VP, the senate confirmed him. Then a year later Nixon resigned and Gerald Ford became the new President.
