As always with each and every new macOS: wait >at least< a month, let other people have "fun" with the bugs that always appear on each newly released version, wait for bugfixes from Apple, save yourself a few headaches.
If I'd need to update, then I'd wait at least for the second line of patches for the new system.
The best solution for me has always been staying 1 version of macOS behind though and this is what I always recommend to everyone.

Unlike last year's hot mess that was Catalina, Big Sur has been smooth sailing for the past few days since I installed the release version.
