Looking to move from Windows to Linux. What distro is most user friendly? I want to install popular multimedia and productivity apps easily.

Linux Mint is a good start Linux Distro : https://linuxmint.com/

User friendly? Mint.

Then upgrade to Debian itself. (Mint is Debian-based, so that won't be too much of a stretch)
