MacBook Pro battery drains while charging?

Hello HN!

My MacBook Pro's 15 2018 battery was draining while charging. I'm not talking about the Catalina battery health management system. Under heavy loads, I was able to work 5-6 hours before my battery died, and it was with Apple's original 87W charger.

I sent my laptop to the service 2 times, but it didn't help. In the end, Apple said that it's OK when your battery drains to 0% while charging...

So, it pissed me off, and I checked the system info and figured out that my 87W USB-C Adapter was delivering only 60W. It means Apple sold me a fake 87W charger with my laptop.

Yesterday, I bought a 94W adapter from Apple, and it resolved the issue.

Buy an adaptor with more wattage if you have the same issue, but the question is, will it damage my battery?
