Ask HN: Help me find blog post that talks about project difficulty levels

I've found this article about half a year ago on hacker news, and cannot find it now.

The article talked about how building a product is the hardest thing you can do and that it means skipping levels if you jump right to it. He further explains how he made that mistakes and started smaller later on.

Does anyone remembers this?
