what does everyone think about google having a vpn though? It feels a bit weird knowing that we hide from google, but a lot of people are a pretty optimistic about this
Well most people use their VPN for bypassing school/work site restrictions and pirating movies. For those two purposes the Google One VPN is probably fine.
I find this real funny - what use is "end to end" encryption on ANDROID, when Google will just use its Android OS to access all your decrypted Messages, and profile you? (The same applies to ios too - Apple already stores your encrytion keys, along with your messages, on iCloud to allow you to access iMessages on multiple devices).
