When I have joined Facebook I agreed I will earn money for the company by sharing my friends names, private photos, videos, by talking with people and creating content and sharing intimate memories.
But I didn't agree that the company will bully anyone who does not want Facebook to earn from my private life!
If this precedent is set, then all browser creators should disallow navigation to Facebook and related sites. I mean, Facebook might turn around in the future and sue for reasons yet to be thought up.
(IANAL) This reads like an argument about agency. Is the tool (browser, python script, etc) used by the user separate from the user themselves?
There seems to be some similarity to Connecticut v Amero case[1], though in reverse - where the actions performed by a tool (browser), which was corrupted (DNS highjack) were used to show intent on the part of the user.
