To explain away dark matter, gravity would have to be weird (sciencemag.org)

How can any MOND theory be taken seriously after the bullet cluster? Isn't the bullet cluster evidence basically, uh bulletproof, against simply modifying the equation for the force of gravity?

Is there any MOND response to the bullet cluster that accounts for the observation?
