Apparently made on shoestring budget. People worked for free, the only cost was compute and filming equipment (which was rented). I'm surprised by the quality of the result - this is Elysium/Chappie grade work.
Aside from all the robots, drones, and black holes, this is what rural Russia looked like 20-25 years ago, and probably still looks like in some places today.
A while ago somebody suggested all video submissions should be accompanied by a brief summary. I think it's a good idea in principle, just not really sure how to describe what I just saw. I'll try:
In a very traditional Russian countryside setting, there is a farm equipped with all kinds of futuristic gadgets cyberpunk-style [1]. As we take a tour of it, in the end we find out the setting is something else altogether. (And it's much more interesting than it would seem from this description.)
Not sure who made it and for what purpose exactly, I guess it has something to do with the much-anticipated release of the Cyberpunk 2077 computer game.
Actually no, it has nothing to do with Cyberpunk 2077. It's just a fun project by a few people from several Russian VFX studios. Here's an interview with the guy who led the project (sadly, only in Russian): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuOUqIY0P2g. They say they did not expect this to go viral, and there will be more along the same lines, for YouTube distribution. In their opinion this won't look right in the traditional "movie" format.
It also pokes fun at Rogozin - there's a portrait of him on one of the barns with a slogan "Let's turn the Red Planet green". For those who don't know - Rogozin leads Roskosmos.
The "robots" are actual farm workers, on a real farm, BTW. CGI is added later. That's why they're wearing long-sleeve clothing. Hands are difficult to replace after filming.

Thank you, unfortunately it seems I can't edit it anymore.
