How can a group of disenfranchised people denied basic resources for education, healthcare, and employment opportunities and that is being characterized as short-sighted, ignorant, violent, toxic masculinity, and gun worship be compared to the other?

The condescension and lack of fundamental understanding here is jarring. Maybe, just maybe, consider for a moment that they do know what they're voting for, because it aligns with their personal values. Then, of course, you'd have to understand what those values are.
That would require empathy and investigation rather than dismissive condescension.

Last time I checked the rioters who destroyed buildings and broke stuff were a subset of BLM and Antifa thugs, which are leftists.
