I hadn't heard of GNU.FREE despite having an interest in both GNU and voting systems. Doesn't strike me as a great loss really though. As the article mentions, Bruce Schneier makes a solid case against electronic voting systems. [0] If such systems must exist I'd rather they use Free software, but it would be better if electronic voting systems didn't exist in the first place.
