Thanks for making this. I've started to do this several times, but never finished it. I was going to use Google's Text-to-Speech[0]. What did you go with?
I just tried it but didn't like the experience. My reading speed is variable, I read slow when I want to internalize the idea v/s I skim through when I am probably reading a novel. At so many points I wanted to pause and re-read the para or think about what he said but listening to the audio didn't really allow for that. PG essays are usually of such kind.
I suspect I won't even enjoy audiobooks too for the same reason. I won't be able to accelerate or slow down at my will.
But I congratulate you for building it and I'm sure it'd be useful for others.
