Ask HN: Why did your company join The Linux Foundation?
For what reasons do companies become members of The Linux Foundation?
I’m trying to understand why a company executive might decide it’s worth becoming a corporate member of The Linux Foundation. I’m curious if anyone has experience taking their company through this decision and can recommend rationale that was well received.
I assume executives care about: (1) how Linux affects products/operations, (2) shaping industry standards, (3) recruiting talent. What other factors are typically considered?
