Why would it be novel that people with larger investments and more resources get better returns than those with smaller stakes?

People with better over-all health coming into Covid, survive Coved infections better than people with poorer over-all health.

Students with higher GPAs do better in a given class than students with lower GPAs.

People with more friends are more likely to get married than people with few friends.

I think there's a pattern here...
