I wouldn't myself. I usually buy a new laptop every year. While I'm not a fan of big evil corps, the thing is HP and Dell top models are very often offered at 30-40% discount.
Plus I'm not a fan of nVidia video cards. I believe the quality of their picture is way inferior to AMD and Matrox.
