I don't know where they announced that move (and I do assume they did), but I was caught off-guard by this move today when trying to rebuild some docker images in a CI pipeline. I wonder how many users are affected like me. In any case, kudos for enforcing EOL like this! This definitely is the right way to get rid of unsupported software installations.
