> "At the time there was an internal "company within a company" called Bogus software. It was really just a server where bunch of guys having fun hacking Windows to learn about the API tossed their games. A program manager on the Windows team saw it and decided to include it in Windows 3.0. It was made clear that they wouldn't pay me other than supplying me with an IBM XT to fix some bugs during the school year - I was perfectly fine with it and I am to this day."
That's something very few places understand. The like button was also created at a company hackathon. If you create a space where all there is to do is create and fill it with highly compensated smart folks, you'll get output like that.
And it worked perfectly fine for 30 years until they decided to replace it with the slow, bug-ridden, ad-infested piece of crap that comes with Windows 10. (The original .exe does not work without crashing in Windows 10, in a bizarre and uncharacteristic display of non-backwards-compatibility by MS.)
Any suggestions of a free/open-source replacement equal in stability and playability (e.g. generation of winnable games) as the original?
