Experienced Redux dev needed at DigsUp – search engine startup

We're a small, remotely-distributed team (HQ'd out of Boston) building something really cool - a new type of search engine to help people find the home of their dreams. I can't go into specifics, but nobody has built anything quite like it.

We work together from around the world using advanced CI/CD on an ultra-modern stack - Node, Redux, SASS + BEM + ITCSS + JS, Flowtype, GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Jest & Travis, et. al.

Our application is consumer-focused for MVP and our designer has mocked up a wild, gorgeous, yet easy-to-understand interface. Now we're turning that UI into clever design system code and scalable, performant business logic. As a consumer app, it has to be rock solid stable, buttery smooth, and blazingly beautiful. We're talking ultra-lightweight client, seemingly-instant search results, graceful fallbacks and errors, prolific but useful animation, touch events... no jquery allowed here. Our standards are high.

This calls for a React wizard who is also comfortable with GraphQL and test-driven development... and if they're familiar with Storybook and design system philosophies, all the better.

We run two-week sprints and hold a non-optional daily scrum meeting on video chat at 8:00am NYC / 1:00pm London / 3:00pm Kiev. Outside of that, you can set your own hours, but the daily face-to-face interaction is important. If you're in the Boston area, our office will reopen when vaccinations are routinely available, and you're welcome to come in any time for more collaborative face time.

Note - this opportunity is not open to agencies / dev houses; you and only you are allowed access to the code; IP addresses will be tracked. Prospects will need to complete a code challenge, but we will only ask for this if we feel good about your odds.

Inquire at reduxwizard@digsup.com. Sorry, not accepting phone inquiries.
