Has anyone on HN gone back to school full-time?

I've had a very successful career in tech, but would like to finish my degree. I consider myself a life-long learner and have always dreamed of having the time and space to finish a degree in Computer Science.

Long story short, I started a startup and college at the same time. My startup was acqui-hired, college was put on hold, and well, that was around 2008. I have since continued to work at startups and big-tech. The last decade kind of just flew past.

But, I do have doubts and I question if it is time for me to finish my degree.

I haven't quite done it yet, for different reasons, but I've done a lot of research and debating jumping in the next year or so. You mention "finishing" your degree, which I assume means you have at least some credit completed. You do have an advantage there as there a a number of programs specifically for that. Doing it from scratch might be a bit more difficult, but if you have enough money saved its probably still possible. Are you looking at online programs or to go back full time to a brick and mortar? I imagine depending on how much money you make, you wont get much in the way of aid, but if you have the money not to care and just want to cross it off the list, I imagine its possible. There are additional complications depending on your certain situation, but given you description, I would assume many are inapplicable to you.
