I don't get the rectangle, it's only 4 cards. A poker hand is 5 cards.

The fifth card can just be a high-card. Rectangle seems just like a stronger version of 2-pair, where it's 2 pair using only the same 2 suits

I don’t like “flower” because it depends on his arbitrary ordering of suits.

It doesn’t conceptually. As long as you have the conditions described in the end, the suit order is irrelevant.

3 of a kind with 3 card straight flush around one of the cards in a 3 of a kind.

But yeah it’s still weird to have a geometric pattern with one axis defined by an unordered set

Another idea for a hand could be a straight made from 4 cards, but the suits are all distinct.
