What's the typical caffeinated-beverage consumption for a News.YC reader? I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I'll down 4-6 cups of tea on a normal weekday.
I usually stay away from caffeine entirely (occasionally a Coca-Cola but that's it) except when I really go into crunch mode, when I'll drink 2-3 Bawls or Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso cans to get through an all-night-and-into-the-morning marathon.
same amount of tea for me. About 2 coffees per week.
Same here, green or black. Sometimes coffee or diet pop, but not much, they make me jittery and moody.

(For the record, green tea has a small amount of caffeine.)

Tea, particularly green, also has Theanine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theanine), which smooths out the caffeine jitters. I'm pretty sure theanine is a big part of why green tea feels subjectively different in effect from coffee, even when drinking enough to counterbalance the lower caffeine content.

Just stopped drinking it 3 weeks ago.
Switched to caffeine pills here.

1. Easier to keep intake from growing out of control.

2. Easier to keep caffeine levels steady since the pills take less time and effort than making more coffee and the dosage is very consistent. No unexpected crashes.

3. Teeth/mouth.

Personally? Anywhere from 4 to 6 Mt. Dews a day.
A coffee or two, sometimes tea as it gets later at night.
One americano and 3 mugs of tea per day.
One tea if I didn't sleep enough. Sometimes 2. A thermos or 2 of green tea (one teabag per thermos) for all nighters/cram sessions.
2 cups coffee to wake up in the morning and 2 cups to stay awake in the afternoon.Sometimes I replace it by tea. I'm still sleeping well in the night :-)
Too much... My goal is to quit, but while having to keep regular office hours it is very hard. That's why for my next contract I'll try to avoid "bodytime".
4-6 caffeine shots a day, with the least one close to midnight. If I don't have any, then I am feeling blue.
One cup of coffee a day, average. Some days more.
