Does anyone still use a multiseat installation of Linux? Why is it continuing to be supported? It's without a doubt cool, and probably useful for thin clients, but what can I do with it now?
The entire OS depends on having different users. Services like apache, chrony, avahi, dbus, etc don't run as root because of the security implications.
Well yeah, I'm talking about multiple seats connected to a single computer directly. I could see applications in the thin client space.
It got used for school computer labs.

Four of each: student, keyboard, mouse, screen, chair

Just one: table, computer

Have you seen this implemented recently like in the past 5 years?
