Wavy Walls Use Fewer Bricks Than a Straight Wall (twistedsifter.com)

I'd expect those walls to disperse and muffle sound as opposed to a flat wall, which would echo and reinforce parts and make a space noisier. The curves should make for more of a white noise effect.
