amazing, can't wait to see what an incredible journey it's been for the FTC. congrats!
In response, Alphabet has announced plans to buy the remaining two states, plus Canada, DC and Puerto Rico.
They own them already. Society has accepted consciously or unconsciously the Like based reward system that now underlies all social dynamics.

People in power in all democracies have been propped up by this system.

So now it's like watching gamblers trying to regulate a casino or drug addicts trying to take on the cartels.

Until the reward system itself is attacked and rethought nothing useful is going to happen.

If there is a company that would buy the US is Amazon, they have a lifelong interest into keep paying no taxes, so far by using taxholes but this move would solidify it by making disappear the legal entity that charges taxes, they are also (along Apple) one of the few companies with enough cash to buy it even if a little part remains pending as debt. If you need a bit of visual help to visualize how much money Jeff Bezos has this website is always the best at such task: https://mkorostoff.github.io/1-pixel-wealth/
