Hey HN, this is a particle detector developer by my friend Oliver Keller for his PhD at CERN. I've put together some kits so you can more easily build one yourself.
I have the parts to build the MIT Cosmic Watch, but have not put it together yet. I think there were two or three things left to source...and it ended up on the back of my bench, then on a shelf.
The same PCB can be used to build an alpha spectrometer. This variant is a little harder to use correctly which is why we are not selling it as a kit yet. You can however use the links in the page to buy most of the required components from 3rd parties.
