A lot of the news sources I have– many of whom are individual independent thinkers I read– have seemed to increase in BS content lately.

There is a racing condition, the middle-class (30-45) generational overlap is out of other options, or at the upper end is confirmed in being out of other options ...then BS'sing and begging. Our society has become parasitic, include universal income to complement former "welfare", weeding out the jobs that are valueless to society, the phenomenon is then bottom to top. Any twists on this scenario are dubious and implausible.
