Devs: Are you getting contacted by Chinese devs for collaboration?

So basically I was contacted by 3 developers that are from China and they want to collaborate or I dont know. They contacted me because I have my profile based in the US. So once I say I am not based in the US they immediately exit the conversation/hang up. Did this happen to me only?
