I bought a remarkable tablet to take notes and it has been my best purchase of 2020

A piece of art furniture from a downtown gallery. The surrounding area got hit by riots, and I wanted to support the local business. Had bought pieces from their gallery in previous years. Great price, too.
I bought this powdered diet energy drink off amazon: ALLMAX Nutrition - AMINOCUTS (A:CUTS) - Cotyon Candy Flavor

I have used it to replace drinking beer and have not had any alcohol for over a month now, the stuff is like rocket fuel and I have dropped 5% of my body mass and saved a bunch of money not buying beer. I stil have a long way to go in the weight loss, health improvement department but this stuff was definitely a good buy for 2020.

Not very interesting but it's definitely the Samsung Note 20 Ultra.
That’s a really cool phone but it’s too big but I would say its a solid device but brother got it as a gift
Kettlebells. $3.00 USD per pound, but it was worth it.
woof, yea felt real stupid paying close to $100 for mine, but goddam it's right there next to the tv and it gets used!!!
Private bird one scooter. I bought it for $1300. Now you can buy them for $800...so now I highly recommend buying it: https://shop.bird.co/collections/bird-one/products/bird-one-...

It's a solid ride. It's so solid I can't imagine there being any scooter more solid.

I first rode a bird scooter while working for a tech startup in westwood, los angeles in 2019. We would go for scooter rides past UCLA. Great times...

Now I'm in Pittsburgh with my bird and I'm reminded of those times.

I always wanted to buy an electric scooter but I’m too afraid to ride a scooter especially in new york
Electric guitar. Bought it as soon as shelter-in-place started and have been taking remote lessons since then. I really enjoy it.
Similar here. Bass guitar with Rocksmith. I like it, but don't spend enough time on it to be good.
Consistency is key! Even 5 minutes per day is good. Over time as you start seeing incremental improvements you get addicted to playing and naturally spend more time practicing.
Yeah, I probably average 20 minutes one day per week. I seem to be building decent spacial awareness or muscle memory on some of the more common frets (3-9) and seem to be getting an ear for standard tuning. Songs with different fret positions (12-15 especially) seem to give me some trouble. I think I just need more consistent practice. It's still fun though. Memorizing complete songs will be a challenge.
Second Soundcore Motion+ for stereo
Snoo. It is an expensive baby crib with smart features and an app. The Snoo has added a number of hours per week to our (parents!) sleep schedule and aided sleep tracking. This makes baby’s sleep schedule planning, and just about everything else in life, slightly easier to get through when you have a newborn.
MAC santoku knife

TwelveSouth StayGo Hub

Logitech MX Keys keyboard

SanDisk Extreme SSD

A NAS system and several TBs of hard disks.
Herman miller aeron office chair. Only downside is now I can't sit in cheap office chairs without discomfort..
Applecare, My shitty 2018 Macbook Pro with butterfly keyboard has replaced its keyboard 3 times, screen 2 times (soon 3) and battery 1 time during within 2 years
Bean to cup coffee machine: JuraE8

Would highly recommend, especially if you've also become parents this year!

Cooler Master SK650 keyboard - got rid from my wrist pains almost immediately (was using typical mechanical keyboard earlier (was higher than SK650 and even I've used gel pads I've got an awful wrist pain))

Exercise bar - no back pains anymore, loosing weight without leaving home and also beat my lifetime chin-up record from 5 to 10 already :)

A solar powered G-Shock watch which updates every night by radio to an atomic clock. It cost £80 and I really like it.
Anker over the ear bluetooth wireless headphones. $70 and handles bluetooth adeptly, sounds good, very comfortable and convenient controls. A great deal all around.
I’ll add Sony XM4’s. The wireless multi device switching worked really well. The battery life has been great, and Bluetooth range is really good too (pretty much walk all over the house with my phone charging).
Aeropress. We bought it for camping but use it every day. When it goes just right, the coffee is very smooth.
