I hope so. His reason would obviously be because of all the democratic emails and such released, but justice is justice. One positive thing coming out of his presidency would be better than none.
I think the assault on Assange was completely unethical in the first place. The Obama administration did it as a grudge for being embarrassed, and it really bothered me that they could commit such a dissonant and unlawful action.
The Obama presidency was largely a continuation and intensification of all the questionable/evil practices of the Bush admin. People act like Trump is "a threat to democracy", but Obama was a complete nightmare in terms of press freedom and surveillance.
