Ask HN: Linux tiling manager still works well on a large monitor?
I get the appeal of using a tiling manager like i3 on a linux laptop. My question is, are tiling managers still useful if you are working from a desktop with a large monitor, such as a 34" ultrawide?
Anyone have experience using tiling managers on a large monitor?

[ 3.0 ms ] story [ 16.3 ms ] threadI have a strong dislike of desktop environments though.
On small screens I often have programs in basically fullscreen, because of the limited space. But the bigger the screen the better you can actually tile it beyond simple half/quarter splits.
