So what is the endgame with stuff like this? Cutting edge companies with near unlimited budgets can barely manage to protect themselves from individuals, much less nation states. A completely nation state/military alliance locked federated internet? I can't really even see that working super well if any local computer is allowed access to it. Every computing device being locked down like iPhones with limited communication protocols?

It's a very unfortunate time to have a president who at best is ambivalent or afraid of Russia; at worst privately colludes with them.

Hopefully the situation improves in a month or so.

The Trump administration placed a number of sanction on Russia. The collusion accusation was a plot and that's well known by now.

The only thing I'm going to be happy about in a month is that media propaganda is going to have to look for a new angle and hopefully there will be less baseless comments like this floating around the internet.

But is it even known for sure this was Russians yet? Pardon me for having grown a bit skeptical of claims. It's sad it's come that because certain parties wanted to discredit a political opponent and drum up support for further military actions in Syria and elsewhere.

1. Trump is an asshole.

2. He may or may not be managed by Putin - at this point, who cares

3. Nevertheless: China is the real global threat.
