I don't mean to be rude, but, isn't this all terribly obvious? "Make sure you have a mitigation if your stuff goes down" ........Yeah.......... "Make sure oncall has used your tools before" ........... Yeah........... It feels like telling a software developer "you should version-control your code". ........... Yeah ............
I think sometimes making everything explicit is important.
for example, a big one, they are making a clear distinction between a mitigation and a fix. (how many workaround become the fix via bad communication?)
