I have been watching this for 6 months. The evidence is now clear as anything. Multiple gold standard studies are done. Cholecalciferol bolus dose eliminates a covid infection (with your body's help). IGa immune response eliminates covid.

The AMA should have adopted this long ago. I only see India carrying out widespread treatment options.

I feel like we have the scientific framework that was laid out a long time ago working. That is, we have people that have a hypothesis, carry out scientific studies, and write down the results. Repeatable. And in the case of Vitamin D, the studies performed have been repeated and the results match. It stops Covid-19.

The other carryover we have from yesteryear are those idiots that are in charge of things that don't read the science. So instead of moving forward with something super cheap and effective, we're moving forward with the multi-billion dollar funded vaccines. Sure, those will also help, but not fast enough. Vitamin D is literally on the shelf at CVS, Walgreens and people could be buying them TODAY if they knew they should.

Vitamin D is not on the shelf anywhere I live. Not since this hypothesis broke months ago.

I guess my question, however, is why are cases still surging in the northern hemisphere as we go into winter, when a bunch of people start taking their seasonal vitamin D supplements?

We also know that most people who get a LOT of sunlight, thus providing their bodies with better-than-adequate tools to produce PLENTY of vitamin D naturally - have not gotten sick with Coronavirus. Farmers, farm-hands, surfers, people who work on and at beaches, landscapers, roofers, construction workers in the south, etc. etc. etc.

Most of them haven't gotten sick. However - some have. And some have died. The exact same thing can be said for anyone who hasn't gotten plenty of natural sunlight and vitamin D. Most of them haven't gotten sick. Some have. Some have died.

So you can see right there that vitamin D has had no significant impact on Covid, at least not in anyone who is not already deficient in vitamin D. If it had an impact, then most people who are shut-ins and don't supplement, would have gotten sick, or even died. And that just hasn't happened. "Most" haven't gotten sick.
