The movie ends with Silvino Cubesare, one of the better runners, now 41, being shown video from back-when Christopher McDougall was on the late-night talk shows promoting his book and barefoot —
"People say that we Rarámuri are the best runners. Some say that it's the sandals or because we run barefoot. I don't believe that.
I don't know what they're [Christopher McDougall] thinking. Why do they do this? Why do they want to run barefoot?
It seems strange. Why do they want to suffer? I think they're crazy."
