It would seem like a reasonable solution and compromise would be to list the innate genetic and physiological conditions which might affect a person's development. This could include information related to their sex-chromosomes as well as other markers which could be useful like deficiencies and allergies.
The absurdity of this subject is not discerning an infant, or even pre-pubescent child, from a sexually mature adult. This subject is not at all about sex identity. The people trying to impose this nonsense are not, for example transgender persons, directly impacted by sex identity concerns but people wanting to dictate personal opinions for some political statement alone.
