I am interested in applying the lean startup methodology to restaurant businesses.

I saw a few months ago a HN post by a software engineer who opened a restaurant with a similar take. I can't seem to locate the article now, but I was wondering whether there are resources or articles explaining similar things in the restaurant/food scene.

Can I ask why you want to open a restaurant? Have you ever worked in one?
It's a hobby project rather than a income source. I have been around the F&B industry for a while (including my current job) but I never worked as a chef.
Nothing like having to do a job to take the fun out of it. Why not keep it as a hobby and just have dinner parties?
