Some people close to me are anxiously on EI right now waiting and hoping their theatres will will survive the next year or two. Money is always tight at most theatres and they depend pretty heavily on donations to balance their books. People don’t have as much to spare in this situation. Even when closed, theatres still have rent to pay and at minimum some office staff to pay
Honestly who gives a fuck. Everyone cries when the people who entertain the elites gets axed but no one gives a shit about the countless masses that offer nothing to the elite but cheap labor. People who do real work can't feed their kids and society is supposed to give a damn about people who trained their whole lives to be a prop for the rich. The out of touch society they live in can burn to the ground.
